My ancestors settled early in La Prairie as well. Clement Leriger dit Laplante (b. 1662 • Gourville, Departement de la Charente, Poitou-Charentes, France, d. 5 Dec 1742 • La Prairie, Monteregie Region, Quebec, Canada). As was my great grandmother Marie Leose Leriger dit Laplante (b. 1862 • St. Isidore, Laprairie, Quebec, d. 29 Aug 1929 • 1461 Broadway, South Portland, Maine). If you come across additional information about the Leriger dit Laplante family, I would be very interested.
ReplyDeleteI have lots of information about this family, including a book. I'm descended from every first born son all the way to Clement.
